Where I can see the sky meet the ground is where I like to be. No thoughts, no words, and no other place, there’s only my heartbeat and breath. From this place inspiration is natural and abundant. I go for my self. The paintings that result from my experiences are an act of service for being blessed with eyes that see and a heart that feels.
Influences are varied. J.W. Turner rocks my world as a painter. I like abstract pop artists like Pollock, Morris, Haring, Max and Lichtenstein. Three years of training and work as an automotive paint rep was a big influence on how I created color. The next three years as an imaging bureau rep exposed me to top photographers. Finally, three years at a fine art digital printmaking bureau gave me the opportunity to excel as a digital artist. I bring these influences and others together on every “Untouched Beauty” painting.

"Prairie Soul"
“In the book “Iron John”, Robert Bly suggests that the human soul is not a dry sterile place. Rather it is analogous to a leafy moist place. Obviously that’s not the visual metaphor I’ve osed here. The idea of “depth“ as an aspect of soul, ring true for me. So, that is something I strive to convey.”
